At Gypsy Moose Glass Co. you may find choosing a piece of hand blown glass; created right in front of you by Jana Prosser, harder than choosing a president. As a member of the Schoodic Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and glassblower for over 12 years there is really nothing she cannot make.

At Gypsy Moose Glass Co. visitors will be impressed by the quality of the work, and the diversity of techniques. People all over the U.S. and locals as well have found it hard to choose a favorite piece from the over 150 artworks created by Jana.

Lampworking is part of an ancient art; almost lost in the last century when mechanical production methods made it less personal and more lucrative for large companies. For years lampworking techniques were secretly guarded by the artist/craftspeople who practiced it. At Gypsy Moose we welcome all and encourage questions.

There is something for everyone large and small at the Moose. If your feet are aching have a seat and a cup of coffee, relax for while, catch your breath and get ready to enjoy the rest of the beauty of Schoodic Peninsula.
