Gulf Spill Benefit
Saturday, July 31st 7:30p.m. Benefit concert with Alice French and Frank Fredenbugh and silent auction to support the National Audubon Society and their efforts in the Gulf of Mexico. Donated local and national artists work will be on display as well gifts from local businesses from Friday July 30th at 12 noon (until 7 pm, opening again for viewing and bidding
all day Saturday) for a silent auction (click here to see details of items), culminating with the concert and reception on Saturday with Sonja’s famous Triple Chocolate Decadence Cake and beverages. Auction bidding will be closed at the end of the concert intermission.
Frank Fredenburgh has played piano professionally for 50 years including 37 years in the Poughkeepsie New York area and now lives in Steuben, Maine. Frank’s extensive experience with a wide variety of music ensembles combined with his creative arrangements of the jazz classics make a solid foundation for the magnificent voice of Alice French. Alice French has been writing and playing music for most of her life, performing over 500 songs at various local establishments and private parties in the local area. Alice is known for singing classic rock or rhythm and blues on the guitar and Jazz on the piano. Singing and playing the guitar/piano, as a solo artist, Alice is also the lead vocalist for the Sentimental Journey Big Band 17 piece band in Bangor Maine with 14 horns and 3 rhythm players. The band performs occasionally throughout the year playing traditional big band, swing and classic jazz music to much critical acclaim.
